Position Summary:
Directly report to manufacturing manager; assist start-up and construction of facility; responsible for all internal and external production line activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
§ Start & build production team
§ Development and implement a system and procedure for the team
§ Support business registration
§ Support facility design and construction of facility
§ Design new facility material flow
§ Responsible for new production line design and installation
§ Support TS6949, ISO14001, OHSAS 18001 certification process
§ Support the Manufacturing Manager to achieve the company’s goals and objectives
§ Provide vision and leadership for the future growth of the team
§ Responsible for all activity within the team
§ Overall control and management of the production team
§ Interface with Manufacturing Manager to establish:
§ Minimum hiring requirements for the Manufacturing team
§ Consistent on-going training and career planning
§ Salary planning and incentive programs
§ Drive for continuous improvement within the team on TPS and CTM principles
§ Inspire and motivate the team to be innovative
§ Train and develop the production team to be technical leaders in their own field
§ Support sales and marketing activities through development of an integral production strategy that is aligned to the business model for the Asia sales/growth revenue plan.
§ Share best practices between Europe and USA. Rotate resources and develop consistent processes.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
· Understanding of vehicle restraint system
· Lean manufacturing - TPS
· Project management - APQP
· Proven track record of leadership skills in all engineering product design and development activities
· Demonstrated leadership in implementing organizational, process, and technical improvements
· Strong communication / negotiation / coaching / training / and presentation skills
· Understanding of engineering and product development processes
· Comfortable with initiating and implementing change
· Fluent in English
· Dependable and result-driven
· Passion to train and develop people, establish system and procedures
· Open-minded, pragmatic, flexible, and adaptable
· Respectful of other culture
· Hands-on management style
· Able to work under pressure
Education:
· BSME or related field.
· MSME or MBA preferred.
Experience Required:
Minimum 6 years of experience and 2 years of management experience, preferably in automotive occupant safety restraints systems
Asia automotive knowledge base critical to the success of the position
Proven career track record of training and developing strong self directed engineering teams
Knowledge of Tracing System
Knowledge of Auto-CAD
