KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Develop and lead implementation of transportation management strategy
2. Coordinate freight optimization initiatives
3. Determine routing guides and transportation modes standards
4. Authorize exceptions to standard transportation modes
5. Ensure shipment traceability
6. Select freight forwarders/carriers, customs brokers and manage their performance
7. Support quotations with logistics cost input
8. Obtain all governmental authorizations to allow seamless customs clearance process
9. Monitor and identify opportunities to reduce customs duties and apply for these duties reductions
10. Support BUs in fulfilling requirements for to be granted lower or free duties payments and avoid government penalty
11. Support best practices sharing in the areas that affect transportation and import/export
REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
1. Bachelor degree in foreign trade, logistics management, or related disciplines
2. 3-5 years direct customs experience
3. In-depth knowledge in Chinese Customs legislation and regulations affecting cross border and international trade;
4. Strong knowledge of various modes of transportation and their processes;
5. Understanding of broad supply chain functions, familiarity with processing trade and other special trade programs
6. Skilled in using MS Windows and Office
7. Fluent English skill
