Main responsibilities:
·Direct and coordinate activities of personnel engaged in purchasing raw materials, equipment, machinery, and supplies in the organization by performing the following duties personally or through subordinates.
·Direct and coordinate supplier management for the organization within the direction of the global purchasing guidelines.
·Develop reliable sources and alternate sources of supply to meet each plant’s requirements.
·Provide leadership in the standardization of materials, supplies, equipment, service and procedures.
·Develop a local supplier panel with the assistance of the individual plant purchasing personnel.
·Develop a reporting and monitoring system of the activities of the China Purchasing Group.
·Measure, evaluate and analyze the performance of Chinese purchasing organization and purchasers. Initiate necessary activities.
·Treat all prices and technical information submitted by suppliers as confidential in order to preserve a good business reputation and obtain competitive price
·Develop and follow up targets for each organization.
·Development of the annual business plans for each China plant with the Project Director of China Purchasing.
·Comply, in all respects, with the antitrust laws and all other applicable laws without qualification or evasion.
·Comply, in all respects, with the rules and ethics in negotiations with suppliers.
·Manage supplier quality performance within the guidelines.
·Provide guidance to all employees concerning ethical practices in any supplier related activity. .
·Verify supplier’s capability by doing plant audits with global buyers and Supplier quality engineer
·Report any supplier quality and delivery problems to responsible regional buyers
·Work with Global & Regional buyers on development and follow up of Global strategies and objectives.
·Do market observations and analysis of new technologies in local area
·Member of the Chinese Purchasing steering committee.

·Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures or governmental regulations.
·Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals
·Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical solutions.
·Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.
·Ability to read and analyze part drawings and specifications.
Educational qualification:
·Four-year Bachelor’s degree from college or university; engineering degree is preferred
·A minimum of four years in purchasing related activities preferably in the automotive industry
·Experience in automotive related quality systems i.e. TS16949, ISO9000, VDA 6.1

·Proficient in both Chinese and English languages.
